Welcome to the Dura Institute of Development and Management Studies (DIDAMS COLLEGE). The college was initially established as a vocational centre to offer non-formal programmes in catering, electrical installation, building and construction and driving.   The aim of the college therefore was to serve as a humanitarian college, rendering a tuition-free service to students in various fields of study.

Under its tuition-free programs, the DIDAMS College has been able to admit more than 200applicants who are pursuing the courses listed above and in Annex 1. Conscious of the recognised relationship between levels of education, birth rates and poverty, the college has encouraged tertiary education for girls, with the aim of lowering birth rates and reducing poverty. In creating this tertiary education facility, it is also providing the skill sets demanded by 21st century employers. In response to further identified need, the foundation decided to incorporate Diploma and Higher National Diploma programs incorporating Community Development Studies, Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, Human Resource Management, Banking and Finance, and Business Management. With the introduction of these courses, and the proposed undergraduate and postgraduate degree curses the Dura Institute of Development and Management Studies (DIDAMS) was took form to serve as a tertiary institution for the provision of academic professional and technical education.
